If you could keep only one of your five senses--taste, touch, smell, sight, or hearing--which would you choose and why?

This is definitely and interesting question. Usually the question is "Which of the five senses could you live without?" If I had to live with just one of my senses then I would probably live with only sight. I chose this because I feel the safest when I can see my surroundings.

If you're trying to create something, like a story, a composition, or a design, etc., do you find yourself imagining how others will react to it? Does that impede or enhance the creative process?

One of the only things I think about is what other people will think about things that I write. I have recently been told by a friend that I should just FUCK THE AUDIENCE, and that's is what I will try to do, although I don't think I will be able to.

P.S. The sentence I just wrote bothers me greatly. =D

School is starting TOMORROW!!! It's not fair. Summer was pretty much cut short by a month because of the month of rain in June. So I wasn't able to leave the house at all. Then I had driving lessons and I had to babysit for the month of July. So I could not do anything then because they were always one right after the other so my day completely filled with boring shit. I had two weeks of freedom at the beginning of August but then the worst thing imaginable for summer...BAND CAMP!!! Well band camp isn't that bad, but it is tiring, which means I don't have any energy to do anything afterward. Plus I get amazing tan lines *ha ha ha NAWT*

Also for school I have to do summer reading. I still haven't finished it yet, which isn't so bad because I am on my second and last book, but what makes me mad is when my aunt and uncle get mad at me because I haven't finished yet even though they assign work on the books during the first week of school, usually the third or fourth day. The good thing is is that the books I read are really good. So here's a little quick review of the first one, A Thousand Splendid Suns:

This book was AMAZING!!! Seriously one of the best books I have ever read. It is 10x better than The Kite Runner. I was in shock about all the horrible things the two main characters, Mariam and Laila, had to endure before finally murdering their husband. For example, Laila lost her parents when her house was blown up the day they were about to leave the country, then her new husband hired someone to tell her the love of her life died in a hospital after being hit by a rocket. Only to discover afterwards that she is pregnant with his child. Also, there is Mariam, who was born to no money at all after her father abondoned her and her mother after discovering her mother was pregnant. Then on her 15 birthday she went to find her father only to discover that when she returned home her mother committed suicide.

Overall, I absolutely loved the book, except for the fact that it was kinda of like a soap opera. haha.

There is no need for them really. They do not help at all. I really wish they were never invented. Especially how they test them. Using them on innocent people or relocating people from thier homes of hundreds of years.

Adopt one today! Adopt one today!      This is my first story I have posted on livejournal. I wrote this a year and a half ago for my creative essay class. This means it needs to be majorly edited and separated into parts. This will be edited later when I have the time but for now behold the original work that is the first story I have ever written.

Comments/Critiques are much appreciated.

I was standing there just listening to everything that was going on. Everything is happening at once, from the police sirens going off, the lights flashing in my eyes, everyone either in shock or crying.Collapse )
